Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Loky is a campus companion app for students at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), India. It is developed and maintained by an independent developer. You can reach us at picubed2@gmail.com.

2. What information we collect

When you use Loky, we may collect:

Your university email address (for account creation and verification)
Your student roll number (to verify UoH student status)
Your display name
Marketplace listings you create, including item descriptions and contact details you choose to share
Device and usage information collected automatically by Firebase (Google) and Supabase

We do not collect payment information. All financial transactions in the marketplace happen directly between students.

3. How we use your information

To verify you are a UoH student and authenticate your account
To operate the campus shuttle schedule, holiday calendar, and campus information features
To enable the student marketplace
To moderate listings and maintain platform safety
To respond to support requests

4. Third-party services

Loky uses the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting (Firebase Privacy)
Supabase — marketplace data storage (Supabase Privacy)
Google AdSense — advertising on the website (Google Ads Policy)

5. Data retention & deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing picubed2@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase Authentication, and role-based access controls. No system is completely secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to picubed2@gmail.com.
